Cormac McCarthy- No Country For Old Men Book Review

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN

This is our first read by Cormac McCarthy and what a book. This is the type of novel that smacks you in the face from the get go. Quick dialogue and to the point.

Cormac invites the reader to the south and asks a simple question, what would you do if you found a bag full of money? For some it's a no brainer, but once you make that decision to take it, the game begins, your life changes.

This being the first novel I have read by McCarthy, it's easy to say I'm looking forward to reading his other works: Child of God, Blood Meridian, All the pretty horses and The Road in the next year or so.

“How does a man decide in what order to abandon his life?” CM

I wouldn't regularly give five stars for a book but i'm going to make an exception. Now it's time to watch the movie.

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN     5/5.
