What a thrilling and enticing book!
The suspense is quite riveting, keeping you truly invested in the story and plot line. Yoshima, and her story, is quite fascinating. You're rooting for her to overcome her demons.
The story starts in England, where you are captivated by the murder of Dr. Ted Conway. When another murder, in Cologne, comes up and adds to the already intriguing plot, you feel more invested in how the story will come together.
A truly tantalizing and amazingly well written book!! I absolutely believe that you should all read this book!

This really was a very enjoyable read. It’s always exciting to discover a new Author that can capture your attention, and for a debut novel this book was an exceptional start. Besides having a great plot, the unpredictability of the story is what appealed to me. I also enjoyed the background and detail put into the characters, and I’d certainly like to see Yoshima and Burke in future stories.

This was a very good novel with lots of twists and turns. I really enjoyed the character development with Yoshima and I hope we learn more about her in more books. DI Muller and Morgan are total opposites which I love. It seems all of the DI have a secret past. The plot was very interesting, with a couple murdered in Cologne and a suicide in London. I have never read a book set in Cologne, so it gave me an insight into the city. Amazing Debut Novel!

Fantastic debut novel by Alec Caruso. Found the lead Detective Rei Yoshima very fascinating with a dangerous past. Love the setting in Cologne, Germany and they seemed to get the description of the city spot on. Keeps the reader on their toes until the end! Easy read and found the ending not disappointing. The series can only get better.
